Peaceful Monday

Hows everyone’s monday?

Mine was peaceful and.. cooling. June, the rainy season~

I was reading popseoul’s blog entry on Wondergirls first performance in Portland, Oregon.
I didn’t expect them to go so far. My impression of them stops at “Nobody”, which is catchy, but that was it.

I watch Transformers 2 for the second time. Transformers 2 didn’t live to to the expectation. Michael Bay must be rushing work for the dateline for this movie. Transformers 1 was COOL. Transformers 2 was CHEESY.

Whats with the redundant scene of bumblebee driving off with Sam’s parent to safety. That was totally not needed.

And the 1min scenes of talking in the library when hiding from the long-tongue female Decepticon.

And the camera angle of Leo’s whining after the camera shoots the Twins Autobots, its like, trying very hard to have Leo at the right side of the screen, so that they wont need to render the twins Autobots in the background when Leo is whining.

And the super-duper big machine sucking cars and sands scene. While the van is being suck up by the machine, Leo and that sector 7 guy still have the time to run off to safety. Doesn’t make senses iszit it!

The rendering of the machines are of lower quality then Transformers 1 leh. Thats what I think lah.
Maybe I was too impressed by Transformers 1 movie.

But I love the bumblebee’s fighting scenes! Especially the part of him having his helmet on and off. Damn cool!
And Optimus Prime came back to live with the black hawk jetplane parts!
I LOVE TRANSFORMERS!

My mum was saying Transformers is a waste of her time.
She say everything is moving so fast, and she can’t make out what is going on.
So whenever she sees Transformer movie trailers on tv, she will say “Trans-po-mer is a lousy movie”.
And my dad will correct her, “It’s Trans-form-mer lah”.

LOL!

Okay~ Project time.

Flea Market

i

I am at the flea market now!

There is Flea Market going on til 8pm.

There are art performances from now till 5pm.

And there is dance competition from 5pm onwards to 10pm!

Later at night I am going back to the chalet at downtown east. BBQ for dinner wee~ Maybe swimming at night at there too. Then play JACKPOT! Never  enter the place before, but the place only allows 21years old and above to enyter. Maybe they don’t check my IC and let me past?

 

Hee.

I am lucky today!

 

We went to park the car at BB central multi-storey carpark and went to buy MAC for breakfast. When we came back, the summon-warden was 2 cars away from our car. When we drive off, she was one car away.

 

HEE.

 

Service Charge 10%

Seafood Aglio Oglio at IMM, Spagetti Too

I love good food. I love good service too.
It makes the food tastes even better, when I’m serve well.

So when i am force to pay service charge, it means the service must be worth paying.

But once in a while, you get lousy service, and you still have to pay service charge.

What the fuck right.
I wonder who in the parliament bill for this.

And when I eat buffet, i still have to pay for service charge. 沒天理。

For the service staff, the extra charges revenue don’t go into their pocket. It GOES into the restaurant’s owner pocket, and in turns, to the government. Everything goes back to the government. I am looking forward to turning 21 years old. By then, i will qualify to receive those money bonus.

Since the service staff are not rewarded for their service, of cause, they wouldn’t care. As long as the customers are “serviced” and they get their pay on time.

And then customer like me will start to grumble about having to pay service charge when the service is shit.
Honestly speaking, I am a picky and difficult-to-handle customer.

• I don’t like to be asked to pay the bill halfway through my meal.
  (Shaw center, Hoshigaoka)
• I don’t like to be waiting at the door for 5 mins, while all the service staffs are chitchatting at one corner.
  (West Mall, Sakae Sushi)
• I don’t like my utensils to be thrown around by some grouchy uncle.
  (Jurong Point, Crystal Jade XLB)
• I don’t like houseflies to be flying around my sashimi, and when i write feedback form about that, the outlet manager didn’t submit the feedback form to the head quarter.
  (Jurong Point, Ichiban Sushi)
• I don’t like to lie that the tables over there are reserved by big groups, and I got sit here in this crowded noisy corner.
  (Jurong West, Sakura Buffet)

i can name more examples man.

Why am i typing all this, I don’t know. It will makes me feel better i guess.
We grumble, but no one is listening.

The person at the other end of the government’s hotline will say, this is how it works.
“Its a must to pay service charge. Why?
We don’t know, ask my boss. Probably he won’t even know the answer to that.”

ITS A DAMN VICIOUS CYCLE.

Its just like the “Tertiary student must pay more for fares, when JC students get to enjoy cheaper fare”
All Poly students complain about it. We debate, we write petition (online), but the authories are not doing anything.
Who are the authorities anyway? SMRT is a private company. They won’t do things to kill their revenues.

This is the way things work.
So forget about that damn speaker corner.

Because if things don’t work this way, Singaporeans will never be cultured to pay “tips”.

Because if things don’t work this way, tertiary student will never learn to pay adult fares.

This is pretty right?! Its a new brand that City Chain had imported.

Talks about watch brand.
Guess, expensive yet the mechanism are not worth the price.
Fossil, the leather straps will starts to smell over time and if you can afford it, change the strap every 2 years.
Esprit, its a apparel brand, don’t expect much.
This alexandre christie brand? I don’t know. I made an order from my bro’s friend. Got to wait at least 2 months though. ;(

Actually brand doesn’t matter. What matter most to me is the aesthetic outlook and price.
Anyway most middle brand watches doesn’t last long.
If its durable enough to wear for 2 years(consider you wear it everyday), its already worth the price.;)

I finally renew my PDL today.

WOOHOO~

I am going for driving lessons AGAIN!

I got to finish this man. Finish what i had started.

If not, i might end up like my elder sister. She start learning at 18years old, quit halfway, continue again, quit again, and on and on, and finally get her license at 30years old. 12 years. wow..

West Mall

Fish eggs. Lots and lots of eggs! Actually the taste of it is quite blend, I just like to munch and burst the eggs in my mouth.

I HAD WATCHED TRANSFORMER! With the whole family.
The cinema was packed. At the beginning of the movie, I savor every scene of it and was WOWED.
Halfway through, it starts to get abit draggy. I expected it to be more action-packed.

In transformer 1, I was still able to catch the movement of the big machines and see how good the modeling is.
But for transformer 2, everything is moving so fast and the camera is zooming in on those big boys fighting.

Even my dad commented that he should have wait for the DVD to come out, so that he can watch it twice or thrice to catch all the action movement.

Nevertheless, ITS SO DAMN GOOD.

I didn’t do anything for project today. Went West Mall and brought $100 worth of skincare from The Face Shop. Skincare is useful stuff man, so I shouldn’t feel quilty for spending on necessaries. It was all on 20% discount and I got The Face Shop life-long membership card now!

The staff there was veryvery helpful. They seems to enjoy their job very much. And their service was veryvery good!

On the contrast, the librarian at west mall library all damn CB one.

I was browsing the books that i wanted to borrow, and i thought i can only borrow up to 4 books.
So i pick 4 and up back the rest on their mobile shelf.
I went searching for my niece at the children’s section, saw this huge poster that says i can borrow up to 8 books during the school june holiday. Happily, i went back to the adults’ section and look for that mobile shelve. And fuck, the books were gone.

And guess what I do next.

I approach the CB-MUSLIM-INDIAN librarian politely and ask her if she had seen the books, because its gone.

“Hello, sorry excuse me, I had place some books here just now, and its gone.”

“Ya.” – attitude tone, i would not have mistaken that

“Er, so did you seen it?”

“Look, in the first place why will you put the books here”
“These are to be placed back onto the shelve”

“I was browsing through and i thought i can only borrow 4 books and…..” -by this time, i realize i don’t have to explain to her so much.. so…

“Do you know where is it?”

“You do not put books here, nobody is going to take care of it..@#$%^&*() this shelve is not.^&*$%^&..that shelve is to put$%^&*(…. its over there with my colleague on her shelve.”

FUCKER RIGHT.
She is practically lecturing me.
On what?

THIS IS HER BLOODY MOBILE SHELVE WITH 4ROLLERS ON IT, DO NOT ANYHOW PUT BOOKS ON HER ALMIGHTY SHELVE.
WANT PUT, PUT IT ON HER COLLEAGUE SHELVE.
ALSO, DO NOT PUT BOOKS THAT U WANT ON THE SHELVE, SHE DOES NOT BABYSIT THEM.

All these while, my niece was standing beside the indian CB librarian with her jaw slightly open.
I think she is wondering, “why is my fierce ah yi being lecture at by this indian auntie?”

Why can’t she just tell me straightaway, “oh, its over thereeee.”

It must be that Librarian are deprived of talking in the library, and they are grumbly.

I got even angrier thinking back about it now. Imagine getting lecture at for something so insignificant.

AT LEAST I BOTHER TO PUT BACK BOOKS THAT I DON’T NEED BACK TO THAT DAMN ROLLERS SHELVE.

I swear i will leave it on the floor next time.

I had a week off..

I didn’t sign into msn.

I didn’t spent hours playing facebook. (the addiction is wearing off)

I didn’t even smack on moisturizer onto my face for the past one week.

All i did was eat, play, watch movies, and had fun with dear mengrong. This is his last block leave for this year and so i accompany him throughout the week! He will be swoosh off to Taiwan in July for a month after that. ;(

I had forgotten to bring moisturizer to his place, so skin complexion is in pretty bad shape now.
Here’s a facial tips. Keep your night moisturizer in the fridge and apply it everynight. It works WONDER!

Last Saturday, I tried a seafood restaurant at Marina Square.

Have sakura buffet at jurong west recreational center.

Try a Japanese restaurant at Shaw which i had never step into before and eaten the best soft shell crab.

Eaten Soup Restaurant famous ginger chicken and ginseng soup. Their ginseng soup standard drop leh

And Crystal Jade is having lunch promotion at JP. Haven been there in almost a year, and the bad attitude uncle is still working there.

Went for fish spa at QianHu again. The last time i went with juan and weiming.

And, not to forget, the Da Vinci exhibition and Science Center.

And had lots of fun and nice dimsim at rod’s army farewell party, although we will be seeing you soon this coming weekend.

Today is the beginning of a busy week.

Project to be completed by 15th July. I hope to finish the draft work by this week.

But this week alone, is a veryvery eventful week.

I got to catch the Transformer movie, and this coming weekend, there is a family chalet at downtown east.
Besides the chalet, saturday morning i have to help sister at the flea market@BB Community Club.
Its the one beside west mall.

LOTS OF BRAND NEW CLOTHES AT CHEAP PRICE! COME SEE AND U WILL KNOW!

We will be there from morning till 7pm.
There will be a dance competition going on at around 5pm till night.

And then at night, i must rush back to the chalet for BBQ. Anyone interested to babysit my dog, kopi, for 2 night?

Somehow, watching Transformer has become an family event too. My whole family will be going to the cinema this weekend!
Its pretty exciting just thinking about it.

The “Frame”

I had a bad morning.

My mum called me while I was deep asleep and ask me how many otahs and satay i need.

She then she continue asking if i need to buy ready-made (marinated)chicken wing and chicken chops.

I got to get out from my bed and grab the calculator and calculate if it exceed the budget.

Okay too expensive. Each chicken wing cost like $0.55 per stick as compared to $0.25. Forget it. I do the marinate job myself.

And then i went back to sleep.

After awhile i heard my dog barking at the door. My sis walk in and pass me this package.

Wow finally. My graduation photos which cost $20.
I jump out of bed and tear it open.

My face look bloody fat.

Nice “FRAME”, if u call that one.
The reason why i buy the $20 package and not the $5 package(which only include the photos) is because of this “frame”.

AND WHY THE HELL IS THE PHOTOS NOT IN THE “FRAME”?
They even save up the manpower of slotting in the photo into the frame.

I feel cheated.

I could have get a better frame, which is hangable, at ikea, for less then $15.

ARGGGHHH~

The hair perm doesnt seems to stay.

And the sims 3 doesnt work on my lappy. Should try to play that on joey’s desktop later.

Everything is not working. And i still got to marinate food later on in the night, after my dad’s birthday celebration.

I can go on grumbling forever now.

Recently,

I am unemployed. and happy about it.

LOL. So far so good. Has been enjoying the unlimited sleeptime and complete things i had yet to do.

LIKE PERMING MY HAIR.

I am going yishun now with my younger sister to perm my hair.

It better turns out nice.

Oya, i receive SMU letter. As expected, i was rejected.

During the interview, the panel of interviewer actually ask me if i got accepted into any uni. I say “Yes, NUS, Social Science”.

Guess they were just making sure i had somewhere to go to.

Maybe if i say “no, i have nowhere to go”, it will be another whole new story?

MAKAN TIME! And brother will drive us to Yishun later on at 3pm.
