Freelance is shit

I dunno why. For the past 8hours, i had been working on my freelance powerpoint slide design shit.

Seriously. it is draining the brain power put of me.

First, it’s boring.

Second, can’t do much with the PP slide design.

The next 2hours, i spent my time conceptualizing for mini space project.

And i come up with 6 designs. WOOHOO. But its all in my head only ;(

Got to finish all 6 designs by 5th May. hrrrmmm.

Talk about visualizing-to-reality, recently i found out about this company called “FRONT”.

They are damn cool, the way they design their products.

Okay there is this irritating bug that keep revolving me around me. And its a huge female bug which has got longggg backside.

Tml i’ll continue blogging about this “FRONT” thingy.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was funfunfun!

SATURDAY

Saturday i went tampines 1 mall, the new shopping mall, with MR.
I told him on friday night that we will go visit the new shopping mall together the next day, he was like “Okay”.

The next morning i receive his sms that he sleepover at his friend’s house at Tampines.
SO HE EXPECTS ME TO TAKE AN HOUR MRT JOURNEY TO TAMPINES, ALONE.

His management skills sucks.

So i blackface all the way to Tampines, reading the political science book (on china 4th generation party) while on MRT.
From Jurong East to Tampines, i only read 8 pages. And i was bored to death. I literally die on the way there. Some parts are interesting on how communist system work and how they improve to be more democracy, but not. MOST PARTS ARE CHARTS and is boring.

I reach Tampines, met MR, give him blackface, and proceed on to the new mall.

Its very crowded there. The whole east dwellers are there, i think.

We found this very special Japanese restaurant and happily queue to get in.
They work like Marche. U were given a card and u eat all you want, and pay at the counter when you get out. So there is no service charge.
Whats more, all the stalls inside were famous long establish Japanese food outlets. Some of them open their branch for the first time outside Japan.

The first food we tried were Raman! I tried Scallop raman, MR tried some spicy raman which i forgot the name.

This is another Japan famous food outlet which sells grill stuff.

We get grill scallop and grill chicken meat from there. The special sauce they use makes it taste very nice. Not too salty.

Now i am a happy girl. I love scallops!

Next i have sushimi while MR has his fuyong egg, which can be found in NP canteen 1. Buts it muchmuch nicer here.The sushimi SWEET!

Wah, this is the reason why i wanna move to Tampines. This tart is damndamndamn yummy. Besides looking good, it taste good.

Crowded right? They are queueing to get into Uniqlo

So are we. =x The queue move pretty fast consider how long it is. We queue for 20mins before we get in.

The mall starts to get real crowded and we cant breathe.

So we get out and get a green apple green tea and proceed on to west mall to watch “Knowing”.

The movie is damn impactful. After the show, i feel no hope for earth. I feel like tml will be the end of the world.

Go watch and you know what i mean. It has a sad ending.

Overall, we had a pretty nice day. WEE~

Marley & Me

Today i finally finish reading the book Marley & Me.
I had this book since lastlast June, but I just stock it aside, leaving it to collect dusts.

This is a book with no good ending. Marley died in the end. All dogs die eventually.
All living creatures had to die eventually including me and you.
All good things comes to an end.

I weep and cry at the last few chapters of the book.
But i laugh and smile along with the author John Grogan, throughout the whole book.
The way he describe his Labrador Marley was as close as how my dog Kopi behave sometimes.

Kopi embarrasses me when i took him out for walks. Technically speaking, its the other way round; he walks me.

When he see other fellowmate doggies along the pathway, he will use all his strength to push forward, wanting to have a sniff of their private parts.
Once, Kopi even pull his tendon when my dad wrestle with him during a walk. My dad was trying to pull him away from the huge brown German Shepard, while Kopi uses every muscle in him to get to the German Shepard.

Of cause my dad wins. Kopi only weights a healthy 8kg at most. But he hurt himself in the most stupid scenario that can ever happen.

My Mini Schnauzer even ate 300grams of “Ba Kua” before, when the whole family was out at my ahgong’s wake. I left it on the dinning table assuming he will never reach that high. Whats more amazing is how he manage to get the “Ba Kua” out of the tight sealed plastic cover.

Now reading how Marley’s life eventually comes to an end, I wonder how much tears I will drop when it is Kopi’s turn.

Now, cheer for life! For he still has got a long 10 more years with me!

Okay it’s 9pm now. i am going to go watch the ping pong show. It’s not very entertaining.
But i love watching the dai yangtian pretty boy on screen. So handsome~

my attempt to blogging regularly.

Today i met juan at jurong east in the morning to go an interview at recruit express.

And i discover something new today! I have a straight bus (bus 160) to jurong east interchange and it takes only 8minutes to travel from my place to JE. 8 MINUTES! Despite staying at my current flat for 10years, i did’nt know that bus 160 can go to JE. hrrmmm, my day had started well with the excitement of discovering new things.

Its 3am now.

The day has come to an end. It will end pretty well too, as i am now on the right track of designing and conceptualizing for my freelance assignment. Has to show some progress to client tomorrow. When i start designing, i don’t feel like stopping. Once i stopped, i don’t feel like going back to my work. The first step is always the hardest it seems.

Juan and I went library to borrow books in the afternoon. We each borrowed 4 books. She borrowed books on economics and”5people you meet in heaven”, i borrowed books on political science, stock investment, and baking. Now i have a feeling that we won’t be able to finish reading all the books. Maybe i am too lazy to even starttttt mugging on these books. SEE, stepping out the first step is always the hardest.

At 3am in the morning now, I am feeling hungry. ;(
I AM CRAVING FOR AHKUN’S (co-incidentally is also my passed away ahgong’s name) KAYA TOAST.
Give me 2 pieces of crispy delicious kaya toast and i will be the happiest girl on earth!

WOOO~ chocolate fondue. I swear i can swallow one gallon of chocolate NOW.

courage. changes. comfort zone.

For no apparent reason, i feel like blogging tonight. I just need a space for me to draft out my thoughts i guess.

from my recent nightmare (worst mightmare i everever had), to lion dance chalet where i freaking cycle for 24km, to going for interviews here and there, and to qingming jie shao mu. Last week was pretty eventful. it took off my mind on the million dollar question.

“What should I study?” – is the million dollar question.

People my age are earning an income now. Smart People of my age are getting home 100K annual salary now. and mememe? I am still pathically looking for a temp job. Despite my not-so-bad resume, i still can’t find a lowly temp job like admin assistant. what is the world coming to.

But its not that bad anyway. There are plenty of poly graduates like me, who cant find jobs anyway. I am pretty happy and relieve when i hear people complaining that they cant find jobs.  My situation isn’t as bad as university graduates, whom study life has pretty much ended, and had no other way then to fight with other graduate for those ridiculously under-paid job.

SEE I AM NOT THAT “CHEM” AFTERALL. 自我安委.

At least i was offered jobs. But jobs that were offered to me are like freaking far away from my place. Kovan, Ubi, Toa Payoh SPH. DAMN FAR LEI.

So i am resigned to staying at home for freelance assignment. ;(

Okay back to the million dollar question. I guess NUS is the only school that wants me.

So, should i study Political Science or Communication & New Media.

Communication & New Media is pretty related to what i am doing now. Whereas Political Science is a new field, which is pretty intimidating(but interesting) to me.

I need a little courage to make the changes and get out of my comfort zone. I still have some days to think about it.

Let me just procrastinate making important decisions again. *wink*

Oh god. why there isn’t emotions option added in wordpress? It will make wordpress unique from blogger and livejournal. Having emotions is like having a book of stickers book, where you can paste smiley stickers all around the blog entry. COOL.

Tomorrow morning there will be an interview again. Here i am not asleep, typing nonsense on my keyboard.

I did this mini cooper wallpaper and posted on minicooper mini projects website.
