the good vibes at home

the vibe at home seems less stress as compared to past weeks.

Since my sister is finishing her olvl today. but my exams are approaching in 2 weeks.
Even so, its good enough that only one of us is giving off bad vibes at home.

 

I think i have sufficient time to study for my exams. in fact i have start studying.

Can make it for this semester i think.

Soon it will be holiday. I’ll need to find a holiday job soon.

A family friend of mine has opened a steamboat place there. Its near the famous sentosa food market.
Beside the food market there is a lane which has alot of bridal shops. Its at that lane.

Its only RM18 for adult, buffet style steamboat!

Anyway, share with you guys a sad story.
Today my mum and aunt saw a stray dog, a jack russell, staggering across the road in NTU.
They drive past it… and start to worry if the busy traffic will knock him down.
If it’s a stray, maybe they can adopt it.

So they stop their car at one side and get off. The minute they get off, they saw the dog collapse on the road.
They hurry carry the dog to one side of the road and check if its alright.
Apparently the dog has been knock down before, and it still manage to keep walking.

My mum and aunt wait for a few minutes longer while the dog fight for his last breath.
They cant bear to leave the dead dog there to decompose, so they decided to bring it to SPCA for cremation.

This earth is really a sad world for all animals out there.

a little freshness

hi everybody!

I have new haircut. AND a new header.
My hair doesnt feel so heavy anymore.

Btw, am i infringing adidas’s trademark by putting 3 strips on my header?

On a random note,
Recently i have been taking lessons on privacy issue.

Few days back i receive a pretty stardust envelope with the company’s logo foil-stamp in silver at the corner of the envelope.
It was from a jewellery company.

I opened it. The letter, again, is printed on stardust paper.
The context informed me that their retail store had shift to paragon.

Up till now, there is nothing special about my story right?
In the past, i will have throw the letter away.
I receive dozen of such letters from various jewellery company and jewellery events.

But the thing is, i start receiving them since like maybe, secondary school?
I cant even afford to buy these jewellery lah.

I feel that someone has invaded my privacy.
How the hell the jewellery company knows my name and address? Why am i on their mailing list?
It cannot be data-mining. Or customer targeting through random methods like yellowpage.

Their printing method was expensive. Stardust paper is expensive.
Unless i am a potential customer, they wouldn’t have mail me.
Who the hell has been buying diamonds and jewellery and including my name and address on the mailing list.

SEE. Thats why i said that my privacy has been invaded.
Even if the jewellery company get my info through data-mining, i didn’t give my permission for them to keep my personal data.
Or maybe i did. cant remember.

Now i cant do anything about it. Not that receiving letters will kill me.
Its just that, i dun really like the idea of my personal information being in someone’s data list without me knowing.

Isn’t it ironic?

I just watched Pandorum.
Its the new movie on a… errm.. human race venturing out to space in search for a new earth-like planet to live in.
Its a realistic sci-fi movie with some horror alien factors in it.

In the past, we used to watch sci-fi movies of aliens invading earth because their planet is in danger of being destroyed.
Nowadays, we watch sci-fi movies featuring human race venturing out of spaces for a new earth.

I am taking geog modules now.
The prof always mention global warming, deforestation, polar bears drowning, the inconvenient truth.

Earth seems fragile now.
Human seems even more helpless than ever.

I strongly believe we have reach the tipping point of earth’s limit.
Hopefully scenes in Pandorum will never appear in real life.

sick, slack, staggering

sickening. the studying life is eating me up.

slacking. i am beginning to slack.

staggering… results. my determination is starting to waver. in fact, 不想強求了。

the only reason for me staying on is because, if others have been there done that, so could I. right?

its a lonely fight. doing something not exactly u want. and close ones dun really understand what the fuck i am in.

Stress.

but manageable.

Because if i cant manage it, it will be the end

Seriously i am damn fucking stress for the past 2 months. Collage life is damn fuckingfucking stress.
I cannot empathize much on the stress man, except using fucking as an adjective.

So i decided, fuck it.
failing one module is not the end of the world.
i am not determine by one fucking module result. i am not determine by uni transcript.
I am determine by people who love me and who concern for me.

Thus, ignore the external factors in life.
I dun really need it. i am not deprive of it.

fuck.
i am going back to typing my 1500 words essay on “Justice V.S Ethics”.

Nightmare

I had a nightmare yesterday night.
Its about… ghost.

Its the worst nightmare ever. Funny. Whenever i have a nightmare, i always refer it as “the worst nightmare ever”.

Anyway, its really veryvery scary.
Its about me taking photos in the cemetery. I was in the cemetery with MR.
Guess what we were doing there?

Taking a stroll, in the park. In this case, cemetery.

And the next moment, i was at somewhere with zhihao.
Yes tham zhihao. We were chatting and i decide to show him the camera photos that i took at the cemetery.
And in every photo, there is this ghostly figure.
As i browse through the rest of the photos, the ghostly figure just keep coming nearer and nearer to the screen.

And i stop clicking the “Next” button. It really freak me out. in the dream i mean.

Imagine being freak out in THE DREAM.

And its such a co-incidence that today is the day when the hellgate’s door is going to open.
Its the 7th month ghost festival again.

Mister mengrong is in Taiwan now for his NS training. He is right now doing his 72km walk, which will takes like 4 days to complete.
And…. today is the 3rd day of his walk. I
Miss him badly man.

Before he left, we have dinner at smoothies bistro and bar, at Alexandra road.
It had got live band performance there, nice reasonable price food, and a romantic ambient.
Its really nice.
We plan to go back there again when he comes back…

I kind of sort out everything i should sort out.

I realize i was trying too hard to run before i learn how to walk.
ZAI means ZAI.
Even if i comes from poly and dunno-what-the-hell is econs about.
I know i am able to make it through la.
Because im willing to learn! AI ZAI~~

Decided i should just take all the necessary exposure modules before i declare my major.

Will be bidding for Philosophy, Chinese studies, Economics, and New media for exposure modules.
And either forensic science or intro to world religious or maybe an architecture module.

One sem, 5 modules.
Should be able to finish my studies in 2.5years since poly students are exempted for 20credits.
If can, go for overseas exchange program in year 2 for a semester.
But expensive eh. Must pay for accommodation and expenses myself.

Going europe countries cost like $12K for a semester.
Going austrilia cost $9K.
Going China cost $5K.
Going HK cost $4K+.
Going to Taiwan cost $2K.

I desperately need Scholarship pleaseeeeeeeeee ;(

After i calculate, i realize actually university life is kind of short.

Sem1: Introduction to exposure modules.
Sem2: Declare major and take related modules.
Sem3: Internship IF HAVE
Sem4: Exchange Program IF POSSIBLE
Sem5: Related Modules

TADAH!
Got a degree! No honours through.

Late Night Thoughts

Its 4.48am.

I should be in bed.

Yet, i am doing something that i had been procrastinating till now.

After an intensive research on NUS CORS bidding system, modules, overseas exchange lessons and etcetc, i am so damn confuse now.

Political Science, or Sociology? Communication, or Geography, or Economics?

Political science is out of interest. I guess watching Discovery channel helps cultivate the interest.
Sociology is damn interesting.

Communication is related to what i am doing now. Means i have advantage over the JCs peers.

Geography is a dynamic subject. so it should be fun.

I dunno what the hell is Economics about. But it commend the highest salary among the rest. Disadvantage thought. JC peers must be way ahead of me. If my results are not good enough, i cant qualify for overseas exchange program or overseas immersion program.

fuck. i am so fucking indecisive.

Interest can last longer. but eventually fade.
Money last forever.

and fuck.

The module-bidding-system (CORS) is a killer.
After reading on it for like 4 hours, i still dunno how it works.

Gonna wake up at 9am later on to watch the live webcast at NUS webby about the bidding system.

ARRRGHHH.

Busy

This week, I will be veryvery busy.

Next week, even more busy.

This week, busy for money, projectsprojectsprojects.

Next week, busy for school stuff.

And the week after? School orientation.

And school begins on 11th August. After National Day.

I am like a bull now. Just chiong only.
